- Elbow Noodles
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Block of Cheddar Cheese (to be cut into slices)
Directions: (recipe directions can vary depending on serving size)
Boil noodles in a pot of water and lightly salt to add taste. After it has cooked, in a large bowl put in the cooked noodles, add one egg, add a spoonful of butter and add one cup of milk. Also add some shredded cheese and mix. Cut the block of cheese in half. Use one half of the cheese now and save the other half for later.
In the pot you just used for the noodles, pour enough milk to just cover the bottom of the pot. Then add one half of the block cheese to the pot allowing it to melt, stir frequently. Once the cheese has melted add the cheese into the large bowl with the noodles and mix. You can add more shredded cheese to add more cheesiness.
Next pour noodles into a cooking pan to put into the oven. After putting the noodles into the pan, cut up the remaining half of the block cheese into slices and add the slices on top of the noodles. Use shredded cheese to cover the noodles that aren’t covered by the block cheese slices. Set oven to 350 degrees F. Put noodles into oven for about 10-12 minutes until cheese has browned. Depending on oven, time may be more and less.
